Softwares to help you to analyze or to plan your flights

Flying long distance is not just only a matter of performance of your glider combined with your skill, but it's also a matter of preparation and knowledge.

  • Google Earth. A must! There is no way to fly long distance if you don't study the place where you are going to fly. I was shocked to see how many pilots in Italy didn't use this software. Google Earth shows the topography in 3D with amazing details, it's a freeware.

  • SeeYou. Amazing software that let you analyze your track and view statistic of your flight second by second. The Slovenian guys of Naviter did something good. It's the first software i used, and a that time SeeYou was thought for sailplanes. Later where added hang gliders and paragliders. Shareware.
